Why other comment that it’s sad 🤔 the step daughter didn’t trust his dad and wanted to test him, the step dad knew it along, the step daughter should’ve been sorry since bcos of her a maid was killed. But she still went with her plan. Like, what the……

I think the reason why they said that is because it's sad that all this happened because of the girl's stupidness and childishness. She didn't trust her step father and did all that which caused her maid's life. It's sad that she died without growing up.

6:33 Someone's suspicious!! Finally!!

I quite liked this case!! (I mean of course I did it's a Heiji 3 parter, why wouldn't I like it) Even though it did get a bit confusing with all that stuff about urashima tarou and the names or whatever, all that Japanese stuff. But I can't really complain, this show was made for and mostly has a Japanese audience. Us westerners are the outliers 😔😔

yeah it's a convoluted and long Japanese fairy-tale/folk tale. even i don't get it 90% of the time it's referenced and i've read two versions of it from different translators/historians/ethnologists.

plus the Mayor's Daughter's nicknames on the chairs, doors, n the height measurements confused the hell outta me. a bunch of castles? whew, a little bitty girl who's that obsessed about being a princess nicknames her butler, her maid etc. after castles, instead of their names?

also, how in the blue blazes does she live THAT long with the Mayor and her Mommy and not know he loves her? she was in college for god's sake during the fake kidnapping and theft... the measurements of her on the wall-post were like KNEE HIGH! i swear, most kids who grow up with a step-parent from that young of an age consider them MORE of a parent than the 'absentee' birth one.

it was really sad the butler killed her. the only one he seriously should have gone for was the ship-captain who killed his fiancée. :( and he saw the dude's face, wouldn't that have come up in the police investigation!?

but the ending scene? hahahah! :D i laughed my ass off at that one! turning the TV show into a detective eating competition? hahahaha! :D

Next canon ep 301-302

OPWOLEZ • 5 months ago

A detective eating competition. That has nothing to do with dedications. Maybe atleast add a riddle after every bowl?
Also the man treating the body with respect because he knew she was kind of innocent shows that he still has some good in him. That was shown by turning himself hin

so the girl was stupid enough to risk the life of people to test the love of her step father for her? that's so selfish & narcissistic.
plus she got killed at the end? like??? so stupid...

Urashima Tarou is one of the most known japanese folk tales, of course you will find references to it in all kinds of japanese media.
